How can people defend this radical religion that encourages death of infidels? Oh yeah and I've read the quran, and I have found MANy verses encouraging infidel death ( IN CONTEXT).
Oh and this isn't racist. I don't see how insutling a radical religion is racist. I think its pretty racist for you people to think Islam is ful of arabs.
Also I am saying this today because a terror plot was exposed in Denmark. Eurabia is coming.
Everyone on here who defended islam never made a good arguement. Its always, "yeah YOU PEOPLE ARE RACIST!111!!" or either "you know christians killed millions !!111!1". completely ignoring the new threat to this world...

I tend to agree that Islam is in my opinion a very repressive and violent religion. I researched A LOT on the religion mostly about the Women's role in Islam. I just couldn't give the okay in my mind on a religion that says it's okay to hit your wife or bar her from the marital bed no matter how many times the husband has talked to her about a problem SHE supposdely has. I don't go around insulting the religion, but I definatly DO NOT like it. I even tried to find the good in Islam (in my mind), but it seems that I can't find any.

Oh it's you again. FYI folks, this guy makes a profession out of insulting other people's religions.
Look, I agree with you, I am freaked out of my mind that the terrorists are going to attack. But they are a common enemy for Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and all of humanity.
As I Muslim, I too am scared to travel in planes and to go to large commercial centers and government buildings for fear that I am going to be blown up by these freaks! You know, a lot of Muslims were in the World Trade Center during 9/11 and died.
As I told you before, you don't give any facts. Until you back up your statements with facts, what's the point in putting out these kinds of questions? It's senseless. Which quotations? I already gave you the context--tell me how it's any different from what I told you. Why is it a radical religion? Why are your arguments better than other people's? I think I gave you pretty darn good arguments. And who's saying there are no threats from terrorists? You just can't create a legitimate link between a few wackos and the remainder of the 1.4 billion Muslims, that's your problem.
I'm ready to defend Islam once you start making some intelligent, well-researched assertions.

Without reference you are proving that you are a racist. Because the person who talks with fact is not a racist but instead a educated person. You say you found many verses that encourage infidel death with context and then you are afraid to show them because you know you don't have any bases to what you are talking.

Just because you read the full text, doesn't mean that you know its context. It was written as a guide for people who died 1400 years ago. It does not advocate death to infidels. (BTW, Christians and Jews are FIDELS, i.e. loyal to God). It says that Muslims can defend themselves, but must stop fighting when the enemy stops.
It also says that there is no compulsion in religion. It unequivocally states that no one should be forced to practice any religion (or no religion at all) It says that RIGHTEOUS Jews and Christians will go to heaven.
And yes, the Bible contains far more evil commands and sadistic acts attributed to God and His prophets than the Qur'an.

When Islam was born, it was brought up as a remedy to the then existing evils in the society in which it was borne. I think many of its teachings are misinterpreated, may be we should see them in their right context. All these major terrorist groups are using the teachings of Islam to their own means. You should go back to the sociocultural conditions at the time of birth of Islam. How can we believe that any religion would spread hatred on purpose. Did you know the word Islam means 'peace'. And I am not a muslim.

Don't fool yourself into thinking Christianity is more civil than Islam. Both religions have a rich, colorful history of oppression and violence. Christianity is probably responsible for more carnage historically. If you read the Old Testement, you will find many similar references to killing non-believers. How quick down the memory hole information like that goes when you are seeking to demonize someone else's beliefs.

you really didn't read the quran or you didn't understand what the quran is talking about if you say that this religion encourages the killing of the infidels then why when prophet Mohamed entered maka forgived all the people while they insulted him.and ALLAH said in the quran to our prophet Mohamed to say to the infidels (u have your religion and i have mine) Islam says to defend your self and try to be justice
