i met this guy (grayson) at the beach and i just reciently told him that i like him and (he lives in nc and i live in va) and im totally embarised... what do i do???

There is nothing wrong with saying you like someone. You don't have to be embarass or feels odd about it. Furthermore you are both so far apart and you don't even know whether he has any gf in his hometown which he has not revealed to you. He has not recipocrate your feeling or so too and have not indicated he would like you to be his gurl. So, move on and don't let it bothers you. There are many nice guys nearer to home.
