well first of all, if you really like your friend, and i mean REALLY like, then one, i would ask your crush's ex (your friend who went out with him) if it would be alright if you asked him out. even if she's not a good friend, it's always the polite thing to do.
next, you have to figure out whether you really like the kid youre dating now. seriously, if your only dating him cus he's cute, but you have many more feelings than that for you guy friend, personally i would break up with him.
if youve decided to go for the breakup then its time for the tough part. you have to go up to your guy friend and ask him out.
now a quick warning: ive gone out with one of my best guy friends, and it was the one of the best realtionships ive ever had, but we had one incident and broke up...its been really hard to speak to him since. the friendship was totally broken. so you have to make sure this is something you really want to do before rushing into it. if you are completly sure, then ask him out. tell him exactly how you feel. if he doesnt feel the same way, it may be akward for a few days, but things will go back to normal eventually. and if he does feel the same way, then the best of luck to you. hope that helps!

Go out with who you want. You only live once. But if you have a good relationship now dont risk it. But do what you want because you want to. Not because of your friends.Your not dating your friends.
