My mom says its wrong for a black and a white to be together but i can't find anything wrong with it? Was there anyone in the Bible that had a black wife or husband that was right with the Lord or is it really wrong?

It's whatever you want it to be. I have seen in Japan where Black and Japanese mixed children are treated negatively by the japanese elders. so maybe some races shouldn't mix. But this is America and there isn't a pureblood Black or white person here. So don't worry about what your family thinks, graduate highschool and move the hell out. You can make your own desicions.

I honestly /hate/ people who think the color of your skin determines who you should marry. Why even look at that? People are all the same on the inside, and as long as you love each other, that's the ONLY thing that matters. Color is only a pigment of the skin. I could see a problem with two people off different religeons marriing, but not color. Anyone, no matter how old is ignorant to think whites should marry whites, black with blacks and so on.

Mom is mom, but sorry, sometimes parents are VERY WRONG. And this is a case. Do not listen to the people who call you names. Tell them that you are more mature and smarter than they for saying that about color....

Sorry, just makes me mad. :) Go on. Do what you do.

Take St. John's point. In the Bible times there was religion and nationalism, but there was NOT racism. The Middle East is, in fact, the most ethnically integrated place on the planet because of it. There are still religious wars, but phenotype has little bearing in the judging of others.

The Bible times written in the Hebrew scriptures makes considerable reference to the exchange of royals in marriage in order to keep peaceful ties to other nations.

I'm not sure when "Race" entered into the religious picture as a staple, but I think it started when the inquisition began.

My mom doesn't think there is anything wrong with it. I love my Black-Italian stallion!! People are people.

There are REASONS why people from different places look different. Caucasians for example in some of the colder regions have developed larger noses -- the part that protrudes-the bridge- for heating the air that goes in the body. Darker skin protects us from the sun... these are only the vague things I remember from college, so you may have to check out the specifics.

It can actually be either moral or immoral, depending on whether the couple plans to breed. It's wrong from more of a secular moral standpoint than a religious one. Here's why: if a black person and white person have a child together, said child will have no unique culture to identify with. On a more practical level, mixed children are disliked by both black racists and white racists.

If there is a mixed couple who love each other greatly, and love each other so much that they feel no need to have children to fill voids in their lives, then there is nothing wrong with it.

Its not wrong. We are the same inside. Would you tell a black dog not be around a white dog or a brown dog. The only reason we have different skin color is environmental development and genetics. Jesus was dark by the way. Not a blue eyed blonde boy with long hippy hair.

i feel very sorry for u dear. it is so hard when the people u love betray u with their closed minds.
there is absolutely nothing in the bible that states u can not be together.
it's about love and respect!!! if ur man loves and respects u have it all.
people may see us as this or that, but at the end of the day we r just like any other couple. we have r ups and downs but we have something they don't, the best of both worlds!
if ur family can not respect u, u need to move on.

Q -- Can you give me a straight answer to this question? I have asked many
people and everyone seems to "him and haw". My question is -----
" What colour of skin did the man known as Jesus Christ have ? "
A -- No problem ! I can answer you. Your answer in one word "Brown" !

All the people on this planet Earth are descendants from the first couple -
Adam and Eve. We are ALL just shades of that same colour !

Hold a sheet of Real White and Real Black paper up against your skin.
I can tell you "for certain" that your skin colour matches neither of these
paper colour samples. We are all "off white - or - BROWN !

WE ARE ALL OF THE SAME COLOUR because we are all indeed
descendants of that couple. Because of protective pigmentation we
are of different shades indeed.

What a beautiful example of how OUR MAKER designed us and built
a protective system into our skins to protect us from the suns rays !

Few people realize that The Bible does not say anything in opposition to
what is referred to as "mixed marriages". This is precisely why.

If "mixed marriages" do not work in our society, as it is today, it is because
of the arrogance of man. To "prove" superiority they often use gross
misinterpretations of Bible passages or misapply a Bible passage to
make it look like it proves them correct.

There is nothing wrong with dating someone outside your race. As long as they like you for you, respect you, and treat you right that's all that's matters. And if anyone says anything about it just tell them to mind their business and go f**k off :)
