In the garden God gave man authority, dominion over all living things on the earth. When man fell, satan assumed that role, but on what authority? Example, when the police have a stand off with a criminal, and that criminal takes hostages. Do the police lose authority? In this democracy we have, did we the people lose our authority to big government, or are we afraid to claim what is rightfully ours? We still have that authority God has given us, if not , why can a pagan witch doctor heal? Because he accepts what has been given to him, even though he knows not where it came from.

it's a faith thing, sometimes when I wish to access healing or some other promise in the bible I second guess myself and therefore defeat myself because I have a hard time calling those things that be not as if they were, but I'm working on it.

Satan has been given a chance from God, to prove God wrong--which he can not--and Satan said to Jesus " All the kingdoms of the world have been given me, if you do an act of obeisance, I will give them to you"---Jesus said " Go away, Satan for it is Yahweh God you must worship".
Many people think that God should take back full authority over the earth now. He will after everyone has had a chance to learn about salvation through Christ's ransom sacrifice. Have patience, just like God, the One Who is exercising great patience and long suffering until that Day.

Adam lost his God-given authority to Satan. Jesus Christ was the only one who was able to recover it.
The authority we have over Satan today, comes from God, not man.

Satan didn't just assume dominion over the earth...Adam, when he disobeyed God then blamed Eve, handed it over to Satan. Adam basically said to Satan, "You must know more than God Himself, so, I trust you more than I trust God."
God respected this choice, and allowed the decision of Adam to stand.

lol...weakness? they don't vote and cannot think for themselves..even in your bible it clearly states you must find the truth for yourself.. yet they do NOT.. Few even read it.. They chant catch phrases, start wars and light fires..No where in their bible does it condone such behavior..a "pagan witch doctor"??..lol.. dude you need to study up on things you wish to speak of.. I've studied christian history and theology for over twenty years..and I am pagan.. Christians have NO excuse for their ignorance or their arrogance..The bible teaches ONE thing.. Love and forbearance.. How did that message get so twisted up and ignored?
How's this crazy foot note..Did you know that Adam was married to Lilith? Mary Magdalene was no whore either.. she was married..guess who too..Christ.. my sources?....I own hundreds of rare religious books..one is over 600 years old and written in Hebrew..

Because, "some Christians" probably realize that they have no authority.

Ok, not following.
However, it is a moot point, as we know that there are no gods.
