I originally picked the colors of lavendar and sage. However, he says he hates the color sage. I need a good accent color to go with lavendar.

First of all congratulations on your engagement!
I know this is going to sound odd but it works.
Visit your local paint store or Lowe's, Homedepot, etc and visit their paint department. ( He should go since i'ts Lowe's or Homedepot when do men NOT want to go there?!?!) They have just about every shade ever made. Take different samples of the colors that you thing go together best and see what your wedding party thinks.
When you finally decide on the colors that you like if you cannot find the dress combination in the store visit your local seamstress and see what he/she can do for you. The majority of the time their price ends up being less verses buying off the rack.

I agree with what someone else said, that a shade or two darker of lavender would look elegant. I think that would be the best if your future hubby doesn't agree with sage. Good luck with the planning, and congratulations!

If you like the color sage and he's making you change it, I'd pick pink. He can have pink or sage - his choice.
If you're fine with changing, I'm assuming it's a spring wedding, think about the darker purple or a shimmering silver.
Or, ask him what he wants.... Good luck - enjoy your first compromise!!! :)

Well, you could always go with a shade darker of purple and a shade lighter. It's amazing just how well 3 shades of the same color can do together. Light-silvery blue would also be gorgeous. Good luck!

My wedding colors are lavender and buttercup( a soft yellow) and I love them. But I love the sage too Its beautiful.

I would go with Lavender and White or lavender and the green color for August good luck

In my opinion, there's not a lot of colors that goes well with lavender other than a sage. But I would suggest Purple, lavender & silver. Good Luck

Those are my colours i love sage, try to convince him some more but if it doesnt work try Silver or Baby blue.
