I downloaded a tv episode off of frostwire & it says it will not play the video only audio, y? how do i solve?

I am not very computer handy so a step by step, and my friend said something about a codec? which i don't know what those are, also i use real player and the file type says avi

Yes, you need the correct codec. These are compressed files, and to put it in simple terms your computer needs a file to show it how to uncompress them.

Download and install this:

When installing select "power user"

Never worry about a missing codec again!

that happens sometimes. just re download it.
