This is interesting. Do you remember the Billie Jean video? (Michael Jackson) You know the part when he walks by the homeless man, dirty and shabbily dressed? And he flips the coin into his cup and the bum's clothing turns into a sparklingly clean, bright suit? That's what I saw when I looked at your new boy. He glows. Maybe you could name him Billie. Or Cowboy. I think there's something "Wild West" about him too.

A Maine Coon cat? Hairball! Ok, to be a bit nicer, Fluffy -- or Sir Fluff -- would also be appropriate.

Of course, the French "Minou" (French for how you call a cat "minou-minou-minou" for "kitty-kitty-kitty") is cute. Gatito (Spanish for little cat) is also fun. We had a pair of Maine Coon brothers by those names when my sister and I were studying those languages in High School. We wanted to name them kitty-kitty-kitty in French and Spanish, but our dad refused to let us name the Spanish one Meece, so we settled on Gatito instead.

Sir Purr works for any boy cat.

Kitten across the street was named Mischief.

Frankie for "ole blue eyes" Frank Sinatra.

Paulie for Paul Newman who has blue eyes.

That really dates me, doesn't it.

Don't count on his eyes always being blue. They often change.

Learn his personality. His name will come to you.

Maybe something like Gadget, as in Inspector Gadget...always getting into things...

How about Leo? That's what my hubby named his Maine Coon, and it fits him really well.

I also like Ralphie, myself.
