GOD!!!! Spaying and neutering!!!!! Why would you want them to have kittens??????? Kittens are a dime a dozen!!!! And having a INTACT male!!!!! Great smell in the house and all over the furniture!!!!! Can't beat that!!!
Why do people want everything to breed???? Do you enjoy watching or something???? Then you will probably dump the male at a shelter when he starts to smell up the house and you are sick of having kittens and realize neutering that late will not stop the spraying!!!!!!!!
Sounds great!!

why are you trying to breed your cats anyway? If the cats are for breeding and you are a breeder of cats then you should seperate them until you think the female is old enough. You can lock them seperate rooms or send one to a kennel for a couple days but it sounds like you have house cats. If you don't want your cats to breed there is a very simple solution, GET THEM FIXED! There are organizations out there that will do it for free or next to nothing and then you won't ever have to worry about more kittens or trying to find a home for kittens ever again.

Spay your kitten. You can do it as early as 2 months without harm. Some places will also offer a chip implant.
If your male cat is not neutered, do that as well. You don't want him to spray.

Theres not much you can do unless yo are expecting both of them to howl for a few weeks. Most the time it is too late by the time you realize she is in heat. But my honest opinion is that you get them spayed and neutered. There are hundreds of cute baby kittens that get killed every day at our local animal shelters. I had a friend that worked for a shelter once and they would kill litters at a time. sad.
good luck if you try.

Im so against household breeding.
I think there are enough unloved, homeless cats and dogs in the world. Get them fixed. Then you have nothing to worry about! Later on if you want another cat go adopt one or buy from a certified breeder.
or you can just keep ur female in a room with litterbox, food, and water.

Unless they are purebred cats with a good pedigree and have had the health tests (not just vet exams) necassary for their breed then they shouldn't be bred. They should be spay/neutered asap. There are tons of cats and kittens being euthanised daily in shelters.

A 6 week old kitten is fairly youthful to be separated from her mom. besides the fact that it variety of feels she is a feisty one, with swatting back. The hissing is truthfully ordinary, as you added a stranger into his worldwide, and cats hate differences. I propose getting a 2nd muddle field. many times 2 packing containers for 2 cats is the terrific. And in case you could sidestep putting them part by making use of part, the better. out of your description, it variety of appears like playing. Your kitten will promptly strengthen, yet maximum suitable now i might save a beware, as she is amazingly tiny whilst in comparison with him and he won't comprehend his own length distinction. Your male cat is reinforcing that he's alpha in the kinfolk. it is ordinary, and that ought to alter. i be attentive to of circumstances the place the lots smaller female will become alpha to the bigger male.

They should both be fixed. The world does not need any more kittens. They are not an endangered species and it is wrong to breed your pets.
