Well along time ago I celebrated Halloween and I allowed my children to as well. Now things are different, I have found so much out about the Holiday and what it stands for that I will no longer acknowledge it. I refuse to give Satan the satisfaction. Our children belong to God and it is not right to get them involved in Satan's biggest day of the Year. Children are so innocent and I am sure that the Devil loves it when we expose their innocent minds to that kind of evil. Please understand that this is just my opinion and I hope it doesn't offend anyone here. God Bless

Evil and fun are not opposites, nor are they mutually exclusive. The fact that something's fun does not mean it's not evil, and vice versa. Something can be both fun and evil at the same time.

That said, if you examine Halloween's origins -- All Saints' Eve -- the people originally dressed up as evil things because they thought they could frighten the evil spirits away for All Saints' Day. A friend of mine said once that if the people really wanted to scare the evil spirits away, they should not dress as evil things but rather as saints and archangels and missionaries. That's his opinion, of course.

If you use that particular day to worship the devil and other evil spirits, sure, it's evil. If you dress as something that does not glorify evil in any way (not necessarily as any of my friend's suggestions, either) and just go for the fun, that isn't evil.

All Hallows Eve, the day the veil between the living and dead is at its thinnest. So thin that the dead slip through and we leave gourds on the porch to feed them. We even carve a jack into a pumpkin, the sign of a trapped soul. Yeah I'd say it inspires people to do evil. Not that little Cindy next door in her pink tutu is celibrating for these reason. But, her actions are masking the goings on behind the scene. If one person, cat, dog, or bat gets its head bit off in some ritual it not worth letting my kids participating in the masking of the truth of this day.

Halloween,"all hallows eve" was the most vile and horrible day of the year centuries ago. Pagans would take a young virgin and sacrifice her to satan. That is why the next day, All saints day, began. Through the years it was changed to Halloween. I don't consider it a holiday. It used to be fun when I was a kid but in today's society you have to many sick people who think it's funny to scare innocent little children who only want some candy. Some even put stuff in candy to harm the little ones. I think this day should be done away with. It has become to dangerous for children to walk door to door asking for candy. That's my opinion and I'm sure many will disagree with me, who cares.

Halloween is DEFINATELY fun! My son loves to dress up in costume & I usually give in & wear a witch hat, angel wings or simply put on glitter makeup. We go to a local church that has games for kids, music & food. The kids get candy win or lose at the games. The food's cheap & they have a great time. We may not go this year as my niece states she's too old at 13. She's a poop! I went til I was 16 & have told her so too. If we don't go, my son wants to trick or treat in our mobile home park. We know almost all of our neighbors so I know he'd be safe. If we don't go to the church, I'll sit on my plastic bench in my driveway & hand out candy to the kids as they come along. It'll be easier than getting up & down for the doorbell.

such as you reported, Halloween is what you're making of it. once you're in it for the costumes and candy, then great; once you're in it for satanic rituals, then there could be a concern. Halloween became into initially meant to be an afternoon for scaring away evil issues besides, so this is a splash ridiculous that some human beings have faith it is going to lead them down the course to evil.

KIDS AND MOST ADULTS LOVE HALLOWEEN. I LOVE HALLOWEEN BECAUSE THAT MEANS IT WILL BE FALL, WHEN THE LEAVES CHANGE, AND THE NEW FRESH COOL AIR IS ABOUT. I LOVE THE PUMPKINS AND THE DECORATIONS. IT'S FUN TO WATCH THE CHILDREN ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT IN THEIR DIFFERENT COSTUMES WALKING AROUND LAUGHING AND GETTING CANDY. I'M 44 AND I LOVE HALLOWEEN. SO NO I DON'T THINK HALLOWEEN IS EVIL.

Fun. Didn't you celebrate it? No matter it's origins and I am not saying they were evil. It is now just a fun day for kids to dress up, get candy, play tricks, and scare each other. We love it. Halloween, All Hallows Eve, Samhain,All Souls Day, what ever you wish to call it. Must be my Celtic heritage.

I think it is fun. You get to dress up and have fun. It does not matter if you look stupid its Halloween. If it is evil, I guess I am evil, because I enjoy it. Come on, that is like every person who has a black cat is a witch. If it was true that every black cat belongs to a witch, guess that makes me one because I have two black cats.
