This is so hard for me. This guy I've liked for it seems like forever. He has given me mixed signals I feel. Not giving me eye contact but then going from that to just staring me in the eyes for like 5 seconds. And sometimes down at my lips also. But he never talks to me. The most recent thing was I had to get something from his department. He came to the door. I was looking throught the papers. He stood there and smiled at me and we held each others gave for like 5 second. This happened twice but then I looked down to look at the papers and he then just looked down and just kept looking down until I left. A couple of days have gone by. He came to bring me something for my area. He now handed it to me and made not eye contact whatsoever. I even first said hey how are you? He said nothing. And then I noticed he went across from me to talk to this lady he barely knows. She's married so I know he's not interested. But he always talks to others and not me. What happened

what happened from last week to this week. Did he sense I was nervous. Or did he sense I liked him so now he's acting like this. He knows me way better then this lady he was talking to. Why does he act this way? What did I do wrong?

He's shy, and he doesn't know what to do. Put the poor guy out of his misery, and ask him out. He's into you.

Oh, boy -- It's possible he likes you, but doesn't want to date someone he works with.

Or he's shy.

Or he's already in a relationship.

Or he isn't interested in you that way.

Here's the thing - how much do you want to know which it is? Why not ask him to join you for lunch, or coffee, and get to know him better? The worst he can say is "no," and a "no" to "Would you like to grab some lunch?" is one you can shrug off (or appear to) without making your work relationship awkward.

Besides, he might say "yes." You need to get this relationship out of the "how he looked at me" (or didn't) stage. Either he's interested, or he's not. If he is, you can get to know him better. If he's not, then you'll know that and you can move on, while keeping your work relationship from getting weird.

Or you can decide you don't want to know, leave things as they are, and enjoy a very satisfying relationship with him in your fantasies. Good luck!

Don't think just because someone is married, that that plugs any holes. A lot of guys prefer married women because that means that they don't have to commit to a relationship. If you really want this guy to notice you do this, act like he doesn't exist,be cordial, but don't go out of your way to acknowledge him. If he is really interested, he will come to you. Most men like the ones they can't have. He knows he can have you, so you are not a challenge.

It sounds like he's nervous! You should keep trying to have a conversation with him. Some guys need someone more aggressive, because they are too shy. You are intimidating to him. So, keep smiling and show him you're not someone to shy away from!

Uh. Have you tried talking to him?

You're obsessed and you haven't even exchanged words. Act like an adult and start up conversation
