All the answers that say "yes", it depends on your point of view. They were the only company that would give me a credit card after I came out of my bankruptcy, ok it only had a £200 limit, and it was guaranteed by a £200 deposit, but it was a card I could use.
So I paid for my petrol on it, paid it off religiously every month (the interest rate is a killer so I don't want to pay that) and now I have a decent credit rating.
They are however going to lose my business because they wont increase the credit limit. I now have a MasterCard with another bank with a decent limit on it, so don't need this £200 one and would rather have my deposit back.
So, in my experience, if you don't mess them about they don't mess you about.
however they did have some weird rules, i moved house during the application process and had to re-apply, apparently the address affects the credit rating (as if). They would not accept my arguement that the house was not applying, I was and I hadnt changed just because I was moving. same job, same credit history, same everything...... but apart from their little foilbles..

Me personally no,but last year they claim that they haven't receive my hubby's payment from his debit card(as we went on a holiday),so when we came back he had to pay £150 late charges even though we sent them the statement with the payment on it

OMG!!!! Absolutely! They gave credit cards to my teenaged daughter... and when she was late would HOUND us at all hours of the day & night.
Even though she had moved out & had a new phone number.. they continued to harrass me. I'm not at ALL condoning my daughter's late payment..... but I shouldn't be the one to get the harrassing phone calls.
Plus the penalties are SKY HIGH. We helped her pay it off on the condition she CUT UP THE CARD.

The only problem I've had with them is that they don't report credit limits, which can hurt your score.
