i'm not a guy, and if i were the thought of sex probably wouldn't put me to sleep. that would probably be an even bigger problem because i'd be worrying about my ***** going away all night.

Learn how to meditate. It will teach you how to clear your mind and not think so much when you don't want to.

this is tricky and i've had this problem. a simple answe turn off you brain form thinking.. but wait we can't do that. so you can either lay there or think about it.. well do u study or do work in your bed.. if so stop. your body needs to associate your bed only with sleep. are you eatting healthy? and yes what and the way you eat can affect your sleep. pills are an idea..before that though i wold ask my doctor. sometimes watch some boring movie, read a VERY dull book. hope something here can help!!!!

Chamomile tea is a good bedtime drink. There's a Sleepytime Tea version that is very good. Doesn't work for me, but I know people that will go right to sleep after a cup of chamomile tea.

If you are a guy, just think about sex that should put you to sleep right away.

Put some nice, gentle classical music on...and imagine you're on a ship at sea....
