Here's the thing most people don't understand. Halloween is not a satanic holiday. Quite the opposite. People used to dress up to AVOID evil spirits and not be possesed. It has evolved into a fun holiday for adults and children alike.

The idea of dressing up for kids is fun, but the truth is everything else about Halloween is evil. The history of Halloween is evil. The fact that many satanic cults celebrate it in there sick ways makes it evil. The fact that you have to check EVERY little piece of candy for poison or other harmful things is evil. The fact that many people wear the scariest costume available to frighten children and others is evil. Halloween just brings about many horrific and hateful things, so the little bit of fun from dressing up is washed away by all of evil that surrounds it.

As a father of 5 girls, no. I think it is a fun time for pretend. Run around in costumes, get candy, etc. All in good fun. However, there is a darker side of All Hollow's Eve that I as a Christian am concerned about. There is a strong temptation to delve into the occult. To think of evil things to an unhealthy degree. And of course, all the horror movies that link Holloween with evil certainly do not help. Like many things, even Christmas and Easter, Holloween has been peverted and twisted into something that can be unwholesome.

Halloween doesn't mix anything religious with it. Unless you
consider pagan tradition. It was the time that all the spirits
are drawn back to Earth.
Which always made me wonder if Christ ascended to heaven
at exactly the opposite time of Halloween. I think I checked it once and it was a week off. But what's week?

Evil, but fun.

Halloween is All Saint's Day Eve. Isn't that Catholic?

"The celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the night of Samhain, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween."

It's fun. It's the one time of the year where the kids gets to pick their outfit. I loved Halloween when I was a kid & I can't wait to have kids so I can take them trick-or-treating! It's gonna be SOO much fun!

Halloween is based on Satanic stuff, but it's fun and harmless for kids.

I think it is a day for kids to have fun playing dress up and getting treats. It doesn't have to be about any more than that unless the parents wish to go into details about why the druids used to celebrate it.

Halloween is fun I don't know why they say it is evil I mean, we replaced Jesus with a big fat lard that gives people free presents.

It's pretty much what you want it to be.

But I consider it evil.

It used to be called "all hallows eve" and it was accually a holliday for the saints, but like all other holidays (i.e christmas, easter) the media (and other people) commercialize it into being somthing that its not.

And thats where we are today, with all the "gothic" and "emo" people, that worship the devil, and thats why i belive it to be evil.
