I have given up trying to convert people that are ardently opposed to Christianity. If I live the life I am supposed to lead and am happy, people will be interested. To quote Dennis Miller, I" quit trying to set God up on blind dates with people he has nothing in common with".

The Bible is the inspired Word of God!
It has the word's of eternal life!
So why not quote Scripture?
Each one of us has to give an account to God. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Everyone has a choice whether or not to accept or reject Jesus Christ.
God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
It makes me feel sad when people reject the Gospel.
Think of Steve Irwin - he was an atheist - as far as I know - he was not prepared to meet God - this is such a tragedy. More of a tragedy of his death!
No one knows how long we have left on this earth, life is a test and a preparation for the next. Each day starts out as a normal day, and yet so many pass into eterntiy suddenly each day, without knowing Christ!

People don't want to believe that without a "higher power or God" they will die and suffer. People want to feel adequate and be able to do things on their own. A lot of people are turned off because the Bible WAS written by MAN (inspired by God just so you know what I believe). It was translated so many times, it's probably hard to count. In the olden days people witnessed Jesus' miracles and now they probably ask, why can't I? The point is, whether you believe or don't believe, we all were created. The galaxies and moons, suns, stars, sky, haven't always just been. They were created just like we were. WHO created everything?

As a progressive Christian with non-believing parents, I understand fully why someone is turned off by The Bible and Christianity.
There are many parts of The Bible that are difficult to accept, including many that show God to be jealous, hateful, and a murderer! Not to mention many other parts that say that gays are horrible, women should be subservient and quiet, etc.
Obviously, there are many Christians who have no problem whatsoever with these and other verses, and that's fine.
But I talk to so many people who are just disgusted by Christianity, not because they are NOT good, moral people, but because the teachings they associate with it are abhorrent to them.
It took me many years to work through the challenges of Christianity. In the end, I've found that surrendering to the loving, forgiving God Jesus describes has given me great peace, and made me a more compassionate, forgiving person.
Great question. peace

It makes me wonder why they don't believe. I've read philosophy, logic, and psychology. I've travelled all over the world, asking questions and wondering how other peoples think and relate to each other and their environments.
No other faith so answers the questions that came up in my mind during my travels, and no other faith could equally answer questions about the evil and suffering that I found throughout the places I visited. I've been humbled over and over again by people who have endured more pain than I could possibly imagine, yet the joy of knowing God, and, in some cases, nothing else, sustained and prospered them.
The answers, for me, in my struggles, are in the Bible, the Word of God.

Makes me wonder why? I think they are blinded by Satan, not is workers. I believe in the command Jesus ask all who believed in Him, to make disciples. Spread the Gospel or Good News of eternal life with Jesus. I am just barely 2 years old in knowing Jesus. The change not only in my life, but how I think and feel are a testimony to what I believe.

I don't mind if people don't believe in the bible. It is their own personal choice. I am a Christian and I would never force someone to become a christian because I know that I wouldn't want someone to force me to believe in their religion.
But I will say that I have been through a lot of rough times and whenever I pray to God for some help or guidence. He always comes through!

It makes me feel sad. I hope that they see God, but I can't make them. I never go around professing my beliefs--if someone asks a question, I answer truthfully. I try hard not to get angry when they get angry, but sometimes I just rant when people make fun of my faith. I also feel very sorry for them--I don't know if they are going to hell, because they are good people, but I sincerly hope they don't. Nobody deserves to be cut off from any love for all eternity.
By the way I am a 'liberal' Catholic who is a little different from other Chirstians, but I speak from my heart.

The same way I feel when I see people who think the moon landing was a hoax. I feel like: "You know, if there are people who won't even believe something that was filmed and meticulously documented in modern society then how can I ever expect them to believe in something as old as the Bible." That's how I feel.

I worry about them. Satan can (and loves to) blind people from the truth of salvation. I just hope and pray that God will give them another chance to accept his Son's death as payment for their sin.
