Actually, parakeets will start showing "nesting" behavior. Put a bird box in the cage and see if she takes to it. Also add clean straw or grass to the bottom of the cage.
Be sure to provide a place for her to give birth!!! My friend's bird laid her eggs in her water bowl because she didn't have a box to nest in. Very sad- none of the eggs survived, of course...

usually if you feel right below her gut you should feel a hard lump dont squeeze 2 much thoiugh. also you should put a nest and nesting materials in there, and see if she starts making a nest. you have to leave her alone though for the first couple of days if she lays an egg or she will forget about it and it will get cold and die. also make sure she gets lots of calcium to make the shell stronger.

birds don't show signs like a dog or cat,,,,,wait till she lays an egg.
