dosent work and i decide format or delete the hard drive but when i try show a message like "invalid command " (because i start in prompt mode ) and dont let me use any file and anything .com any help plz ? i want delete all the hard drive and install a new windows version

use xp disk as you would to do a normal install at the instalation screen pick repair windows leave file system as it is this will re install windows but leave your files as they are on the computer
all that will not be available are any updates that you installed due to your windows being back to its original install DONOT pick the change file system or your drive will be auto formatted that is a clean install that destoys all on the hard drive you will still need your serial number to re install

We need more information. What are the specs of the PC and what version of windows are you trying to install?

boot/startup computer from a windows 98 startup disk and then format the drive with the ( format c: ) command. you can get a windows 98 startup disk from bootdisk.com if you don't already have one

You can't reformat your HDD while using it. It's like trying to transplant your own heart. You need to use the OS disk for that.
