I'm not a perfect speller, but I usually look up the word before I type it. But what really irks me, is when people spell breed names wrong.
If someone is on here wants to get a Chiwawa(chihuahua) or a Chitsue (ShihTzu), or a Dotsun(Dachshund), then they really should at least know how to spell the breed correctly.

It's not a big deal, but it does bother a little when some people don't know a bit of spelling and grammar...shows negligence and a certain kind of ignorance.
By the way this is the dog's section, not the right section for your question

People get upset when you miss spell things because for some people it makes there question hard to read. I don't mind a few spelling mistakes, i do them too, altho usually there just from trying to type too fast :)
BUT yahoo has a spell checker put right by the text box, so just try to remember to run through your question with spell checker before you submit it and it will catch most of your spelling mistakes.
mistakes are ok, but we should try our best to learn from them :)

I'm a retired English teacher. I ALWAYS notice poor spelling, poor grammar, and poor punctuation. The purpose of these conventions is to help communicate clearly. Some of the questions at Yahoo Answers have so many errors, that it is difficult to understand what they are asking. Expressing yourself clearly is a sign of respect for others.

I sure don't and I am an old lady school teacher. I think youngsters here are learning things they want to know and why should people put them down because of their spelling. I taught children with learning disabilities and not everyone is a "natural" speller.
Someone should help them to learn spellcheck though. Even learning the spelling of one word a day would contribute greatly to their education and not subject them to abuse from insensitive people.

This has nothing to do with dogs and can barely be considered a question, since it if followed so closely by a statement. But by all means, you can go blog your heart out about it.

Because it reflects on the person writing. Words that are spelled incorrectly makes the person look uneducated. :0)

most spelling mistakes can be overloked, but if it ruins the point of the question and you can't understand it, then and only then, we should be able to bust a cap.
