is there any restriction on me living with him after we are married for the 6 months until he can enter the u.s.? i wondered if it was not allowed because i'd have to be in the u.s. working to support him or something. i haven't been able to get a straight answer about it. thanks in advance for your help.

i would plan on more then 6 months to process your i130 there is no problem with you living with your husband in the Uk however check you entry status after 90 days

You would apply for a K-1 only if you were living in the U.S. and he was living in the U.K. Also, you can't just decide to live in the U.K. without a valid visa. You have to be in the U.S. and show that you're working and can support him, etc. If you get a K-1 for him, he has to come to the U.S. and be married almost immediately.
