Ideally, the kid's parents would then get involved.

Its an inept way to inform the parent/guardian that the student exhibits unwanted behavior. The idea being that if the student won't change patterns of behavior to conform to school expectations, they will not be permitted to attend. This absolves the school of the responsibility of dealing with "undesirables" and creates a paper trail (the dreaded PERMANENT RECORD!) to prove that the school followed policies/procedures and properly informed the parent/guardian. The idea being that the parent/guardian will KNOW the student was suspended .

faster or later, you're able to do something. for common suspensions, it in many cases indicators the mothers and dads that something is faulty and that they could desire to do their interest. definite, the youngster suffers, yet sending notes abode to the mothers and dads, in all probability has no longer worked. For issues like violence against instructors or destruction of sources, what different decision is there. you're able to get them out of the college because of the fact the student has incredibly become a criminal. reformatory could be the different decision.

well, if they don;t want to be there, they should be sent to an alternative school for children who can't behave...that way, this vermin do not have to pollute the minds of those students who WANT to be there....

alternative schools are probably not such a great idea either given that it just breeds super-bad kids...I mean, all the kids are bad there already....

I suggest shooting them in the head and being rid of such crap. why do we have to deal with them at all? the parenst obviously don't give a sh*t about them. what's one less @sshole on the streets gonna hurt?

That's cute. I know what you are saying. You're just giving them what they want. What kind of punishment is that?
I had the same problem with my daughter in middle school. I didn't get on with the principal and he threatened to suspend her. I He tried to tell me she was just lazy and wouldn't do anything. So one day I got fed up with him and took her home for a few days. RELIEF! 3 days without that principal!

Not that it works.
Maybe there is a kind of reverse psychology behind it. Kids don't want to go to school but they have to so they rebel or what ever. Now they aren't allowed to go, so suddenly they want to go. They want to do the opposite of what they are supposed to.

In my town they have to go to "alternative school," depending on what they have done wrong. No suspensions for school skippers here. And from what I've heard, you don't want to go to alternative school.

Here, they have a school just for such kids. It's called "in school suspension."

i totally agree. if anything, i used to look forward to getting suspended. it just meant i got to stay home. more and more school district now are adopting "in-house" suspensions.....that seems more appropriate now that i'm much older
