Yes, the dog should be put down

The answer is YES! A dog should never attack a person or another animal unless trained by a professional for work in a professional field. A dog that merely attacks someone is deemed vicious and should be put down before he/she can injure or kill someone else. A vicious dog is a loaded weapon! Police dogs are not vicious dogs and are tested for temperment before going into training. They are trained by Professionals to attack on command only. They are trained to work and help Police capture and subdue criminals. They don't just attack at will. If your dog does not fit in this catagory, put the animal down immediately before someone is killed.

nope its not right downright inhumane, it can be triggered by lots of factors like the environment if he is provoked or harmed naturally he will bite or attack as his natural instinct, it can be wrong training, or bad treatment to him causing him trauma which is due to humans as well, its not really the dog, the only time to put down the dog is when he exhibits rabid symptoms because u have to kill the dog, bring its head to examine and then inject the victim with anti rabies injection, if u kill him now, u would never know if it exhibited rabies and when ur victim needs to be injected, or ur victim's life is in danger. as the owner its ur responsibility for any injury or deaths resulting from ur dog as part of torts and civil damages, so i suggest keep the dog, dont let him loose , put him on leash and observe if after 3 weeks he is fine and didnt die, u can bring him back as a pet...

I hate the thought of putting down an animal, especially a dog but yes. If the dog attakes somebody or something it's the law that the dog must be put down.
I've had experince
Once a dog I had attaked another dog and once they have the taste of blood, they go after it again. so my dog attaked one dog, killed it and than attaked another.
I take care of my dogs but a female near was in heat and the other dogs were on our land and they were males.
the dogs have to be put down,
good luck, and sorry.
P.S.
Also if the dog is not put down, the victim of the dog attake will or can sue.

Well i worked in vet hospital and there where lot of dogs that where put down for that i think its not right because some dogs that have been abused and see people abuse then and then the dog bits him it because it didn't know better. Now and days a lot of dogs especially pit bulls and rot ts you need an insurance policy and i think that is Wong any dog can attack it doesn't matter what kind of dog it is.

it is no longer likely that i might "punish" a canines for an attack that did severe injury. Euthanize, confident, if I felt that the canines became into risky (which might probable be the case). "Punishment" assumes that the canines became into proceeding to do some thing incorrect and that this is a habit that is corrected. canines do no longer chew to be evil, they do it to end an end and that they have got discovered that biting works. i does not punish a panicked canines for biting, any further than i might punish a individual having a panic connect for flailing around and injuring somebody. i does not punish a mentally unwell or emotionally risky canines, yet i might take steps to be certain that they have got been no longer risky. And if a canines is aggressive adequate to be launching finished blown assaults on human beings and doing severe injury, the time for punishment is long previous. in the common public of cases, i may well be hauling out the "blue juice". OTOH, i may well be better than happy to punish proprietors who fail to coach, socialize or take care of their canines to maintain them from being achieveable, or who inspire their canines to be aggressive and unsafe (no longer counting canines in a controlled training concern with a handler that knows what they are doing).

I know that is very serious but I never beleive in disstroying an animal.I would blame the owner for not being responcible. It most likely has an owner somewhere,,maybe the dog slipped the collar & got away.Maybe the dog was frightened.

With the exception of police dogs...It should not matter if the dog had a collar or not...it should be put down.

What would a collar have to do with anything? Any dog that attacks a person unprovoked should probably be put down.

If any animal attacks any human, a complaint is is usually issued. Even if someone comes forward to defend the animal, a judge will usually have it put down, anyway. If no-one comes forward, he'll just sign the order.
