i be attentive to a splash bit Spanish and those days heard some distinctive human beings speakin Italian in front of me (it became into being translated to English for me) and at the same time as there have been some similarities, there have been a lot of diffrences, I basically couldn' understad a be attentive to it even although I knew that there have been words that looked like Spanish words (besides the fact that that could have been the ranslation rather than the language itself). i think of this is far less stressful to p.c.. one up in case you be attentive to the different yet i think of you will possibly do properly with an Italian phrasebook

When you want to say "and you?" you must say ¿y tú? if is a person you know, but if it is a older person that you must respect then you say.. bien ¿y usted? that means... and you?.. the preposition used in Spanish is "y" not e or ee that is a sound of the English language, example: you and me.= tú y yo.. this and that.. esto y aquello.. if there is anything I can help you with you can email me at cyberdroid_2000 @ yahoo.com

It depends on whether you are using the "formal" or "informal" form to refer to the other person.

The formal form is "tú" -> "¿Y tú?"
The informal form is "usted" -> "¿Y usted?"

Tú is usually used with people of around your same age and social status, such as your classmates. Usted is usually used with people who are older or of higher status than you, such as your teacher. (This varies in different Spanish-speaking countries, but you'll get into that later.)

Enjoy learning Spanish!

"And you" in Spanish is "Y tu," if you are talking to a friend or colleage. But if you are talking to a teacher, boss, or someone older then you say "Y usted," That shows that you are addressing them with respect.

My name is... = Mi nombre es...
And you? = ¿Y tú...? (¿Cuál es tu nombre?...)

You can see this matter in Mansionspanish, a free Spanish course, in the lesson 1 ( htp://www.mansionspanish.com ).
