Start off with 100, and then add another 100 per night, until You reach 1800. I know it sounds like a lot, but don't do it all at once... do it in sets of 300 (that's 6 sets total). Your abs will be Nice, Flat, and Defined. I'm serious, if You don't believe Me, ask a Professional trainer.

You can do a million and it won't make a difference. If you have fat on your stomach you will never see your abs. Along with your crunches, stop eating white flour. That means no pizza, no pasta, pretzels, rice, cake... Instead replace them with whole grain versions. Look into this, it works. Ever since I switched, my stomach has never been flatter. Do cardio, crunches and whole grains, and you'll have a great stomach in no time.

Sometimes doing sit-ups and crunches can build the muscle up, making it rounder instead of flatter. It's all about technique, so it's important to keep your abs completely flat when you exercise them. I recommend "The Plank", from Pilates -- rest on your forearms and toes, making a very straight incline with your body. Hold your abs in firmly, like you're trying to touch your bellybutton to your backbone, but don't hold your breath -- breathe normally. See if you can hold this pose for 10 seconds, then each subsequent night, try to hold it for longer and work up to one minute, then two. Just remember to suck those abs in while you're doing it!

Pretty much as many as you can, or at least until it hurts afterword. And just so you know, sit-ups won't help make your stomach flatter unless the cushion of fat over your abs is slimmed down. If that fat is still there, and you do a bunch of sit-ups, you might actually look fatter because your abdominals are getting bigger.

One type of sit-up would not work as well as a variety of exercises. One kind of sit-up would strengthen one part of your abs, or it might just work your hip flexors, not your abs, anyway. I recommend trying pilates, which works all parts of your abs as well as your butt and inner thighs. I recommend The Pilates Body. It really works. Good luck. Liebe und Frieden.
