will depend if you were "in" the intersection at the time of red,,,,
as in: stoped out in the middle and waiting for the traffic to give way, so you could move out of the intersection.
or if you were in a safe area... and moved into the intersection on the red.

The question is, was you already in the middle of the intercetion, and what is the law on left hand turns in your state. I would go to the Dept. of motor vehicles and get a drivers ed. manual. This can be a valuable tool to solve this. For example in the state of sc if a driver is in the middle of the intercetion (which is completely legal here) then the driver can complete the turn when the light changes to red. Check the laws reguarding this in your state.

If the light was just turning red as you made your left, the camera wouldn't have caught your back plate. Admit you ran the light, pay your ticket, and get on with your life.

Pay the fine, that's all. Caught in the camera means, you're guilty.

Make sure the cameras were calibrated, and take it to Jury trial, they will probably throw it out.

Of coarse you can but be sure to bring your checkbook to pay for court costs and fees along with the price of your ticket.

You can't. This is just another way for your local government to fine you for a minor infraction while their donut sucking bureaucrats do nothing.

I would love to see a movement of painting over these cameras by our American taggers or perhaps college pranks. This would maybe teach the government that digital intimidation just ain't American.

Is it worth compromising your self-respect? You know if you made a mistake, be a stand up individual and exercise your integrity.
