Oh God... Not again...

A meaningless collection of words does not suddenly acquire meaning because the words "God can" are attached to the front of it.

God "cannot" create a square circle, or do any other self-contradictory thing, not because there is some specifiable act of which God is incapable, but because no actual act has been specified in the asking of a self-contradictory and nonsensical question.

Now go tell all the other idiot sophomoric smartasses so they don't pester us with this moronic BS anymore.

This is a straw man arguement that has been around for a very long time. The thought is that if God could make such a stone, then He could not be all powerful. If he could not, then he could not be all powerful. However, you have to remember that God is not able to do everything. He cannot lie. He cannot deny Himself. Therefore your beginning presumption is inaccurate.

The answer is no He could not, though not for the reason you think. For God to create a rock He could not lift would mean He would have to create a rock outside of His dominion. Since all of God's creations are within his dominion, there is none so heavy He could not lift. However, it means that all rocks that exist or can exist He can lift.

I am not theistic, but you are making a category mistake. No significantly developed idea of God includes a body to lift anything. All of "creation" would be considered the expression of and one with God; each thing a wave on the ocean that is God. Your question is basically asking could water take a shape it could not lift. But lifting means moving through water. So it is not a coherent question when seen properly.

Yes, if He wills it. But He wouldn't because there wouldn't be a good reason for Him to do it.

But He did make Himself into a mortal man and allowed Himself to be killed by evil men so that He could raise Himself up from the dead on the 3rd day. He only did this to show us the ultimate example of His sacrificial love for us and to conquer death in order for us to see that He is God and believe in Him so that we may do His will and have a chance to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven by His grace.

God can make a rock that he cannot pick up.. and He has done so many times...

He has made Covenants with people that He cannot Break...

He has given you free will that He cannot take away...

If God made a rock and told you that He could pick it up only if you did something and you never did that thing .. then He would never be able to pick it up because He MUST honor His word.

Ooh, paradox.

If God could create a rock so big he couldn't lift it then he wouldn't be all-powerful.

If God couldn't create a rock so big he couldn't lift it then he wouldn't be all powerful.

Okay, so maybe it isn't a paradox exactly, but it sure is interesting.

Sure continue to use old nonsense to try and reign in God. I'll bet you hope you are correct in your assessment of God because imagine the irony: there you are at the gates of Heaven, and all you have to do it lift this huge rock, heh heh...God has an ironic sense of humor.

Exatly, the duality that exists everywhere int he universe trumps god every time.

I like Homer's version better

"Could Jesus microwave a burrito so hot that even he could not eat it?"

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

There is no point to your question but to TRY and prove God doesn't exist, which you'll never be able to do. There is nothing impossible for God, however, why would He want to make a rock too big for Him to lift? To make you believe in Him? There is evidence all around, yet you choose to ignore it, which is your choice.
This is who you remind me of b/c of your refusal to acknowledge God and your mockery of Him:

Luke 16:19-35 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25 "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27 "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29 "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30 " 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

There is nothing ugly here in my reply to you. However your question is ugly in that your motive is out spite and mockery and hatred.

-Nothing is impossible for God if that is what He wanted to do. I suppose He could push the rock around and send it soaring your way.
