I keep reading that the Air Force and Navy are overmanned and aren't accepting as many people unless your MOS is something they need. Is this true, and if so is there a good chance of not be accepted if I haven't yet decided on a MOS?

They always need people. I am Navy Reserve and they still need us too. I'm not sure where you heard it, but I would go directly to your recruiting office, they can use you and they will answer all your questions.

Last I read this was a few months back that both branches MIGHT turn away thousands of recruits and that the AF was offering to honorably discharge those who wanted to get out early, and something about certain ranks. Go to a recruiter and find out what is currently going on.

My 2 friends had no trouble getting in. I have heard that the Air Force is getting rid of some of their officers thouhg. Best bet is to talk to a recruiter ASAP.

I doubt that, but you do have to qualify for it, and maybe they are not getting enough qualified applicants.
