My boyfriend and I have a GREAT relationship. We have good conversations, he makes me laugh the whole 9 yards. But when it comes to talking about "US" he like shuts down. He is shy to begin with but has really opened up to me. I am not the type to need to know "where we stand" or "how you feel" all the time but sometimes those questions need to be asked. When I do ask those questions he is just quiet, sais nothing like he didn't even hear me. I really don't know what to do here I have tried everything I could think of. Like telling him he can say anything to me, or don't be worried if it comes out wrong. I have even gotten to the point of telling him that as a girl I sometimes need to hear that he is happy with me, or im pretty ect.... His friends have come right out and told me that I make him happier than anything in the world but i don't understand why he can tell them that and not me. Im so confused!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

He's probably been burned by that line of questioning before... To some guys, talking about the relationship directly is like talking a different language... The guy'll say something, then the girl tries to figure it out... The problem is you both speak the same language, but mean something differrent than what gets said... Things tend to get over-analyzed, blown way out of proportion, and there exists a new problem that wasn't there before... So, on his end, he feels that if he says nothing, he avoids the problem which creates another problem which could've been avoided... That's about as simple as it gets... Oh, the games people play...

maybe he's just a lier. Maybe he still wants to use you. I didn't ask when I wondered the same things about my wife, when I pushed her about it, instead of leveling with me about it, she just clammed up. well anyway you better find out whats up now, or you'll find out later, when he up an leaves and still gives you no reason.
Ouch I know that hurts, but I know.

as i see it your are the hear and now and not in the time to come because US would be looking for word in time and would be making a commitment
