They are a bit like little lobsters ... with cajun spice, butter and garlic, very tasty! I don't suck the heads though ... ewww

Crawfish in general is VERY GOOD! I am vacationing in New Orleans and had Crawfish Pies for dinner last night. Tastes a lot like crab that you get from a can. Very good as a meat filling, or in sauces. I haven't had them from the shell--seems like a lot of work. One of the big t-shirts here is "shut up and suck it" because that is how you eat them, by sucking the tail.

Crawfish is the absolute best. Going to school in New Orleans, i got the chance to get some----and talk about delicious eating. Before Katrina I know you could get it for like 2 bucks a pund. Then you get the corn and sausage that is boiled with the crawfish seasoning---ooo Im gonna pass out right now. Just don't eat the head

Mais, crawfish tastes good, cher! Why you think we Cajuns like to eat 'em? If you like lobster, you'll like their miniature cousin. They have the about the same texture, except, crawfish is cooked with a lot of spices. And you gotta suck the heads! Lol

Obviously, it must taste good to a lot of people, or they wouldn't be eating it. Taste is a personal thing, you'll have to try it for yourself.

To me anyway, they taste like a mixture of crab and lobster. They taste wonderful.

This is a northern craw fish and it tastes like very mild lobster.
Plus it looks like a tiny lobster. Very amazing. It was so mild that it was nothing that I truly enjoyed. I do love lobster though.
