Can you let us all know what city in America you live in?
I go to a non-denominational Christian church. I don't believe God intended church and politics to be in the same circle. And I like having more freedom to do what God calls, not what the church calls

There are thousands of churches out there. I recomended you visit a few before making your decision. YOu will know which is the right one. Remember you need a church that allows you to worship God freely just as you are. You don't need some one telling you how many hell mary to say or to have a 3 way conversation with God. You need a church that is going to bring you to a close relationship directly with christ.

Seventh-Day Adventist
I like my church because I believe that they teach the Bible accurately, supporting all church doctrines with many scriptural references, "Line upon line, precept upon precept" Isa 28:13 as the Bible says.

Here is a website that has a directory of Adventist churches in Canada. It has them divided into different conferences like Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario etc.
http://www.adventistdirectory.org/view_AdmField.asp?AdmFieldID=SCIC

Click on a conference then click congregations. and it will give you a list of churches

Here is a free online Bible school

Hope this helps, you can e-mail me if you have other questions or if you have trouble finding a church in Canada.

God bless

i wish you were living in New York, You know, Brooklyn Tabernacle is a good church, they preach from the Bible however, the TBN chennel preaches the good news on TV. Remember, going to church is not everything to worshiping God but the will of God is what we're required of, and listening to the word of God will help encourage you in the things of God.

I PERSONALLY AM A ATHIEST, BUT IF YOU DO BELIEVE THE BIBLE AND TEACHINGS OF THE BIBLE, THEN MAKE SURE THE CHURCH YOU BELONG TO, REALLY STUDIES THE ACTUAL WORD AND WILL ENCOURAGE THE PARISH TO EXAMINE THE WORD FOR THEMSELVES. BOTTOM LINE, CHOOSE CHURCH THAT HELPS "YOU" FIND GOD, NOT ONE THAT TELLS YOU THIS IS THE WAY IT IS. I WOULD RECOMEND THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH. THEY GO TO CHURCH ON THE REAL SABBATH, WHICH IS SATURDAY AND THEY ARE ONE TO ALWAYS STUDY THE WORD, NOT THE WORD OF MAN, BUT OF GOD, IE: THE BIBLE. I AM A DEVOUT ATHIEST AND I CAN BRAKE DOWN ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AND WHEN I PULL OUT THE PHONE BOOK TO CALL SOMEONE, I WOULD CALL THE CLOSEST SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, BEFORE I WOULD CALL ANYONE. THERE ARE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP AND OF ALL THE SUPPOSED CHRISTIANS I'VE KNOWN, ONLY SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST LIVE WHAT THEY BELIEVE, THEY DON'T JUST TALK ABOUT IT.

There are many different churches I suggest that you study up on the churches in your area yourself, and pray, and decide for yourself which one to go to. I used to be a Catholic but now I go to a four square church. (christian). the main thing that matters is if Jesus is a big part of the belief, and you feel the Holy Spirit there!!!

Why not try going to a kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. I've been attending for a while now and i just love what I've been learning. I know people have their thoughts on Jehovah's Witnesses and think of them as people who interrupt their Saturday mornings, but their not. Everything they teach is from the Bible it's God's Word. There are no collections taken, and when you first arrive, its just amazing to see the love between all of them. They have helped make my life so much better teaching me about the future we can all have as long as we continue serving God, and doing his will.....I strongly recommend them, just try it...I'm positive you'll see the love between all of them and get answers to any questions you might have.

The Holy Catholic Church was established 2000 years ago! Why go to a religion foundeded by man, divided, and less than a few hundred years old?

May God bless you in your search.
