There's plenty of whites that would pick veggies...i would...but it better not be a low wage..i would pick for even minimum wage..i would do what ever it took to pay my bills and feed my family.these farmers wants to get away with paying a dollar an hour for the mexicans to pick there crops..and thats just B.S..

I DID pick strawberries every summer from the time I turned 12 until I was old enough to go to work in the local cannery. As the years went by I noticed more and more migrant workers taking over the job of berry picking. It wasn't that we white folks didn't want to or couldn't anymore, we were essentially forced out. Now that I am grown I wanted my children to get the same kind of work ethic I had so I went back to the fields to see if they could get a job picking but there is no longer anything but migrant workers. We CAN'T anymore. They have a boss who contracts with the farm for a fixed price then he pays his workers whatever he wants. When we worked the fields we got paid by the pound according to how much we picked. And anybody was welcome to pick. Now, you have to belong to their group if you want to pick and they're not about to hire any U.S. citizens.

Why can't Blacks do it? Why can't Asians do it? Why can Native Americans do it? Because we can do something that requires more intelligence and pays more.
Why do illegals think they are better than the rest of the population who had to pay THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars to gain an education?
I'm sorry, but illegals are very happy to be out of the country they came from. They are also traitors to their nation for running away and not making their homeland a better place.

Because they are too busy working legal jobs that they pay taxes on so the illegals can get their free medical care,free school,etc.

are you kidding me? They call them devil fruit.. it is back breaking work that you do mostly on your hands and knees. "Whites" are fully capable of showing up in the fields and working just like anyone else..
They have more opportunities and for the most part, they don't have to work grueling manual labor 14 hours a day in order to survive, although some do... especially during the dust bowl. Ever read Grapes of Wrath?

I didn't know vegetables had strawberries. However, I have no problem picking either one out of my garden. I don't need criminals to do it for me.

They will, but for more money; not for the minimum (frequently less) wages that are currently being paid. The same goes for Asians, Blacks, and Latino Americans (and legal immigrants).

Americans can't make a living doing that kind of work.Illegals come over by the millions and drive the price of labor down.

We can but when my son and I were really down on our luck and tried to get this job we were turned down. Only whites with their own gardens can do this. And that is what I suggest. If you have the yard or land, grow your own. It will be better quality, fresher and legal. Share with your American neighbors.
