Practice makes perfect. Swallow as much of your own spit before you start smooching. Nothing is worse than getting a mouthful of drool.
If you aren't as experienced, don't kiss a person who is laying under you because due to gravity, your spit will flow down... blah. Make sure you tongue it not too stiff. We want to kiss, not make-out with a board. Unless its a super hot passionate moment, don't just dive in with the tongue - warm it up first with partially closed mouth, no tongue, then gently move your tongue.
Also, don't swirl it around like a washing machine... I hate that, close your mouth between swishes and pull your tongue back a little.
Kissing is way too difficult to explain. Just practice practice practice!
