Ok so there is a guy a work who is making it blatantly obvious that he likes me.

The problem is we are basically in the same department and he sits near me. Everyone else has noticed and some people have commented. For anything to happen it would have to be outside of the office in a social setting but I'm concerned about the repercussions if it goes wrong. We have a great working relationship and friendship but he is making it so obvious I have to address this one way or another.

Advice please.....thankyou!

Do it - then if it doesn't work out - quit your job (or get him to quit).. easier life for you then.

if he didnt work with you would you date him? If you answer yes to this, then I think you should go for it - many successful realtionships start from the workplace - if you do decide to go for it, make it blatantly obvious that what happens within the relationship STAYS within the relationship and you dont want any stories or gossip going back into the workplace. Loads of people share snogs with people they work with - sure you might get slagged off for a day or two afterwards if you're seen, but so what! IT'll be forgotten about the next day - if you like this guy go for it!

Stay clear as if he is radioactive or having bubonic plague!

It may go very well, but may end in tears ... and one of the two may have to quit the job due to being unable to stand it being in the same office with the other person, all the rumours and malice of some co-workers, etc. etc.

So - are you ready to quit work after getting broken relationship?

Just go and have coffee/beer/whatever_you_fancy together and set the record straight!

You may as well end up being best of friends.

I don't date people I work with cuz when it (&if) it ends it makes working together more difficult. Also when you work together & date you see the persone 24-7 & tend to get sick of one another. You can try the friends thing first & if ther's a true genuine spark then give it a whirl but be prepared if things go sour. Good Luck!!!!

This is often such a bad idea - when it goes wrong (they always do) it's often very awkward. What you have to ask yourself is - is he someone who could be very special (in which case go for it) or is it just a bit of fun (if you aren't bothered about your job go for it, but if it's your dream job then don't).

I would sit him down and discuss wh it can't happen. This can get really get complications including but not limited to drama, termination or worse. Try to pull out of the situation ASAP. If you can't then go to your supervisor about it.

Just tell him that. You liek him as well but you dont want it to wreck your work. so maybe just being friend and a casual date but nothing serious for now.

Advice - don't. No matter how good he is, he'll eventually slip and then everyone will know.
In this case, think of yourself, be selfish and don't.

There is a saying that goes....You don't get your honey where you make your money!
Please remember this. Cause if it goes badly, and it probably will, there could be serious repercusssions for both of you.
