so i was gonna buy a few condoms for obvious reasons today. i went in and bought a few other things because i was a bit nervous but i sucked it up and got them anyway. so i get up there and put everything on the counter. the guy stares at them for a second, looks up at me and asked for my ID. i'm almost 18 and i guess you could say i look my age (i mean, i dont look 14 or anything). shocked, i said i didnt have it on me. he threw them to the side, looking at me the whole time like i did something wrong and rung everything else up. i didnt know you had to have an ID to buy CONDOMS.... what's the deal with that??

I've never heard of such a thing. What state do you live in? For god's sake someone should be raising hell about this- you are behaving like a responsible adult and some pin head tries to prevent it? I'm pissed.

You don't need an ID to buy condoms. The clerk was yanking your chain. If I were you, I'd complain to the store manager. Sorry, this is the US and we don't want anyone spreading AIDS. You're doing your part by trying to do the right thing and I commend you. Now, go after the frickin' jerk clerk who wanted your ID. Get his butt fired or suspended. He's probably gay anyway and don't use rubbers. He'll get his in the "end"!

You do not need an ID for condoms. Maybe try going to the Health Clinic or something.
