That's ok, neocons call us worse all the time. You're wrong on this, though, a lot of Liberals are troubled about the Illegal problems, too. Just that the majority of us want it settled in as fair a way as possible.
Hey, once in a while when I see a few Latinos looking at me like dirt, I don't get upset, I know that I'm classed with all whites and that's the way it's going to be. The same way that some whites think all Latinos belong to gangs, or are illegal.

I don't feel very racist, I'm not part of the Klan or anything, and I don't walk around saying 'I hate__________'s', because I don't,
at the same time I'm really confused about what's going on in our country. It was given to me to understand, by my parents and relatives upon completing school that I was then to find some sort of employment and that I needed to support myself financially. Well, they used different words, but that was the general gist of the conversation. Well, I've been doing that for some time now, and once upon a time, about 15 or so years ago, I did take unemployment for a while. But, that was monies related to the fact that I'd previously been employed. All in all, I've stayed employed all these years, paid my own bills, paid taxes even, only come to find out that if I was in the country illegally, and played dumb, and had been born hispanic, I could like basically get a free ride. What fun! What the hell was I thinking, working all these years, when you could just ride some program and sit around on your *** all day and wait for free money?

Our country is about 8.5 trillion dollars in debt, and we left public accountability a LONG time ago. If you want some good supporting arguments on that concept, I strongly suggest George Carlin, he pulls no punches on the subject.

Regardless of all that, though, I intend to keep working. They say that 'green tech' is an up-and-coming field, it sure sounds like a lot of fun, learning about eco-technology, lots of jobs in it, think I'll start filling out some job applications. Maybe, in all these years of working for other people(silly me) I have managed to learn something that'll be applicable in a field like that. Hey, anything can happen! And, I intend to explore it.

I think that, despite some wording problems, you a have articulated the core problem in america. There is a large segment that lacks the will to power or the instinct of self preservation.
