First of all, your dad really needs to see a doctor about those chest pains. The sooner the better. Stress can put strain on the body, but even if all his stress went away, he still needs medical advice.

Second, you can't fix your dad's work problems. The best thing you can do for him is to try to make his home life as easy as possible. This could be making his favorite meal, doing the chores, greeting him with a smile, or just giving him some quiet time.

Still not sure what to do? When he comes home, say "Dad, I love you and I know you are going through a stressful time right now. Is there anything I can do to make it better?" Even if he says no, at least he knows people care.

I think your dad should definetely seek medical help it is possable that the stress from this job is making him sick. Usually jobs that have a night cew the biggest differaance is the pace it might not be as busy at night as it is during the day but without knowing what kind of job he is doing it is hard for me to give advice about the training part..
But as far as the pains in his chest he really should go to see a doctor, because it could be serious. There is also a chance that he is suffering from stress (where I work someone thought she was having a heart attack and she went to the hospital and they told her it was stress of the job) the job could also be causing him to have panic attacks ( a panic attack can feel just like having a heart attack and can be very painful and very scary to the person feeling itI had a boyfriend that suffered from panic attacks and a doctor can help with that too) I hope that my info has helped ... If they are refusing to train him for the shift he was hired to work maybe he should rethink working there for his own health... The first thing he should do is see a doctoer he will no good to anyone if he gets really sick

And why do you have to threaten people here to be reported for gaining 2 points when you were not even able to explain your question properly.
What is it that he is trained to do during the day and that he should do the opposite at night.
What is his job in the first place.
If he is sick don't let him work or do the job. that's it. Otherwise, he could suffer from heart attack and you have nothing to blame but yourselves.
And why should he accept to be trained for something in the morning and do the opposite at night.. What is it..??
