Great, nice, but, there can be toilet paper shortages... eveything is imported, even the canned Pinapple costs 50 cents MORE per can!

And, if you are white, you ain't 'right', in that Chinese, Philipino, Portugese, Japanese dominated mega mix of Oahu. BTW, Oahu is 90% military installations.

There are only about 150 Hawaiians left, who can actually show their bloodlines. They don't live on Oahu, if they have any choice!

Over to the other isliands, tourists are loved for their money, so bring lots of it! You'll need it!

The SEWAGE OUTLETS still are there at Waikiki beach!
Aerial views still show the huge brown swathes of raw sewage that back-washes during the incoming tide!

Swim over at Pahakapuna Bay Beach (far West side, and, North of the Marinas - with their chemicals), or at North Shore.

Huge tankers and freighters sit three miles offshore of Oahu as the effluent and chemicals in the water chemically cleans the hulls, making it another year away from drydock and barnacle removal!

Vacation where the US Navy dumps it's bilge!

Lived there, learned that while on Active duty.

Yes, most of it. I have been to Hawaii 3 times in the last two years. Kauai is parradise on Earth. Oahu is not as nice, Honolulu is a typical big city with all of a big city's problems. The Big Island is very nice and quiet (but don't go there looking for great beaches).

Hawaii is a fantastic place. Closest thing to heaven on earth. The climate is mild, the sun is warm, the water is clean and clear. The birds and flowers are just as beautiful as what you see in pictures, and the people are the warmest and friendliest anywhere.
Wish I could live there....

Aloha Hopeless!
'Hawii' is probably key rap!
On the other hand, we have 4 fingers & a thumb.
Hawa!! is probably one of the nicest places on the entire planet!
The only reason I do not still live there is because the co$t of living in paradise is very high.

Hawaii is beautiful! The water is crystal clear, the air is fresh and clean, the plant life is beautiful, and the people there are wonderful. You really get a sense of paradise when you're there, and the entertainment...you don't want to miss it at all!

Can't wait until I go one day... :)

no, everybody visits there because it's a craphole.

of course it's nice! some islands are nicer than others. it depends on if you like nature/jungle/rainforest, or if you prefer shopping and sightseeing in a tourist-y environment.

the islands have both to offer. however, if you hate heat & humidity, then consider staying away.

hawaii is so beautiful. it always mists in the morning, it never gets past like 85, the beaches are the best, the only problem is some of the natives don't like tourists.
