Tonya W., the problem is not the quantity but the way that you consume the beer, I bet you drink directly from the bottle or the can? Am I right? Well that is the wrong way to drink a beer, O yes it is great at the park, on the beach or tubing but if you can, always use a glass, here is why.
Beer is naturally carbonated and when you drink directly from the can or bottle you put the carbonation into your stomach and that is why you feel bloated and full. If you pour your beer into a "beer clean" glass with a nice foamy head then the carbonation goes into the air and only the good beer goes into your stomach, lessening the chance of bloating and feeling full, you can drink more beer, feel better and the beer actually tastes better. To get a glass beer clean, try this. Take a glass that you feel is clean and pour water inside and out onto the glass and then sprinkle salt onto the glass when you see splotches of salt on the glass then it is not "beer clean", take the remaining salt on the glass and rub it inside and out of the glass, rinse it out and then pour yourself a nice beer, you will see that it will hold a head longer, look and taste better. You should keep some glasses just for beer consumption for all liquids, milk, soda, etc., have oil in them that will not come out in just washing, that is why they are not beer clean and the oil residue makes the head of a beer dissapate, you have probably poured a beer into a glass and the head disappears right away, that is a glass that is not "beer clean". Well enough pontificating from me, just try it and enjoy your beer for it is a great gift from nature that man has made even better.

You could "postpone the agony" by having a few White Castles. Make sure you don't have to go to work the next morning.
