Chocolate will last a long time if it is not in extreme temperature changes.

If it goes bad, you will see that it becomes crumbly and develops whitish spots and might even have a slightly rancid smell.
If it has any of these, don't eat it.

If not,... enjoy!

Both should still be great. If they have gone through major temperature changes they may look a bit funky, but chocolate
doesn't go bad. The only exception is if they are filled chocolates with some kind of filling which needs to be refrigerated. In that case, I would only eat them if they were frozen.

No. it really is the worst idea I have ever heard on account that Del Boy menioned 'Crash Turbans' on that 'Fools and Horses'. Why do you ask? have you ever come for the time of 50 bins of toothpicks?

There's no reason it wouldn't be safe to eat...it may or may not still taste 'fresh' though...take a small nibble and if it's okay with you then eat and enjoy... :)
