no, it won't affect your credit score
You still keep the same social security number and that is what they go by when checking your credit

Changing your name doesn't affect it. BUT, if you ever apply for a loan together it will. My husband has horrid credit. Mine is perfect. So, I do not have a checking acct., loans, bills, tax returns, car, house, etc. with his name on it. All is in my name. This is all fine and dandy until one day you realize that if you ever want a bigger house, newer car, loan for a vacation, whatever, that your husband's income could really help when applying for a loan. I know it sounds bad, but you should seriously think twice about marrying someone who has bad credit or who isn't already doing something to fix it. Trust Me!!!

No, it is done by social security number. Name affects nothing. Your Social #s are now married to each other and affect ech other's credit.

It does if you have good credit and he has bad and you marry him. Just remember in richer and poorer.
