It sounds like Candidiasis. You should look it up on the net.

I've had this for about 15 years. There are home remedies, but if it's really bad you'll need prescription medication. The meds come in liquid, powder, and injection. Avoid sugar & friuts until you see a doctor. The problem is that even though this is a REAL PROVEN illness most doctors do not believe in it because if they treated their patients for it so many of their ailments would disappear and they would not need to keep coming back paying them so much $$$$. I was diagnosed by an ENT. Maybe you could find an allergist who can help you.
Good luck!

Yeast is usually associated with bacteria. I have not heard of it contributing to a fungal infection. The doctors that would treat are your regular PCP or a gynecologist

Not a doctor, but I have experience. Yes, I have heard of this. It is hard to know what kind of doctor to visit because you haven't said where the yeast overgrowth is located. See an internist if it is in your mouth. See a gynecologist if it is vaginal (plain yougurt may provide some relief, but it is messy) See a urologist if it is genital and you are male.
In any case I'd recommend you see a doctor.

You can get Candida cleanses at health food stores. You follow the diet and take the supplements to get rid of excess yeast. Its a good thing to do from time to time.

Your family practice doctor can probably help you out or recommend someone...give him/her a call and go from there.
