Broadly, the meaning of life is what you make of it. Ask yourself the following questions:-
Is my priority money?
Is my priority security?
Is my priority status?
Is my priority spirituality?
Is my priority family?
Is my priority hedonism?
I would say that the meaning of life is to balance the lot. Enough money to live, enough time for yourself, family and friends. Enough time for your God, Goddess or combinations thereof. Enough security will evolve from this.
For an intellectual analysis, look up "Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs" on the Internet. Yahoo have it well.
