I have freeview and I cannot see the screens borders which means I can't see things like subtitles because the words on the edges are beyond the edges.

try going into the menu > settings> picture (or something similar on your tv) and changing the screen dimensions

you need to adjust the picture, either zoom in or put it on widescreen. These are most likely in the menu under video settings.

Adjust the aspect ratio- ours is just a button that says aspect.

change setting on your tv maybe to letterbox ,widescreen ,16.9 etc till you get it right

buy a smaller tv screen and it will fit.
