The soul is always pure and stable, the soul can never be infected by an outside influence, the soul is unborn, immutable, irreducible, eternal and beyond the changes of birth and death.

The original position for the soul, which also has personal form and individuality is to be simultaneously one with and different from the Supreme soul or God.

To be one with God in love and purpose and separate as the lover and the beloved or the Mother and child as an example.

The soul has free will and has the right to choose to exist separately from the original source of existence, as soon as this choice is made then the soul becomes covered or shrouded in eight separated energies.

These eight separated energies, five being gross, namely earth, water, fire, air and ether and three subtle, namely mind, intelligence and ego.

Now to come to the point. The subtle material body especially in a purified condition can attract those entities that exist on the subtle or astral platform who do not possess a material body and are frustrated in pursuance of sense gratification or due to various reasons remain in the subtle form and want to communicate with their loved one's in the material or earthly realm of existence.

Another explanation is some kind of mental illness such as schizophrenia or bi-polar disorder, due to chemical instability in the brain, this is a material disorder that can be treated by a physician, that can stablise the personality that is being affected by abnormal brain function.

The practise of channelling different personalities that exist on the astral plane, never affects the soul, but can affect the mental condition of the host medium, the degree of this influence is dependent upon the type of personality that has been channelled, that is the reason "spirit guides"are vitally important to a spiritualist/medium, as there are malevolent and benign entities on both the gross material platform and subtle/astral platform.

If difficulties are encountered then the Supreme can always be called upon and agents/angels/devotee's of the Supreme will assist in the cleansing process of both direct interaction and residual energy that is left after the connection.

i know this might sound a bit ''cheesy'', but I think the original soul of the body that is being inhabited goes to a kind of ''waiting room'' deep in the subconcious, in a kind of sleeplike state, but may slightly awaken occasionally ( I know this sounds like an episode of quantum leap). I think that a persons soul will try to resist a demon trying to enter the body and both souls would be present, until the more dominant one wins over. I also believe that it may be something like this when a person is in a coma, that their soul retreats into the subconcious, but there is not another soul prsent so the person will appear in a sleeplike state for any length of time. Or, in the case of split or multiple personalities, there is obviously 2 or more souls inside the one body, and the conflict with each other to become dominant. Thats my opinion anyway. Great question!

" thoughOne soul is assigned to a body, an "angel" wont take over a humans body, they can form their own if needed. Demons can only take over a human body if "invited" the person who "invites" a demon is still "there", and more than one demon can enter a body once the first has been invited. Some"Psychiatric emergencies" are actually"possessions" and the other can be said too. In both cases, it's best to consult both a Psychiatrist, and a Minister "trained" in matters like that(though I'm "ordained" in my order I haven't gotten much training yet^_^) Don't trust a "Psychic" though, some are "fake" and some the demons just laugh at.

When I was possessed my soul was intact. I only had one demon, and its ability was limited to putting thoughts and images in my head. In this way I had telepathy and precognition. My possession was as a result of a relative going to a spiritualist faith healer on my behalf.

I had this condition from age 7 to 21. I was in full control of my faculties during this time, but the demon could nag me into doing its will, It could not compel me. At age 21 I would have been diagnosed as psychotic and schizophrenic. However, these conditions cannot be cured by exorcism, and that was how I was cured. I was baptised in The Holy Spirit and have been going on with The Lord ever since.

Gee, I don't really know. In my country, The one who is generally weak intellectually and emotionally are target of possession. And when it's over they had not an inkling what took to place in them.

My guess is that a spirit of departed ones with strong reason(ie hatred) to remain attach to the physical world choose the victim by that criteria. But it was a struggle. Because there was also signs that the soul of the possessed was fighting back.

People have souls - angels and demons are entities. If a demon were to posses someone it would depend on the level of possession, where you might still have the person out most of the time. Essentially, the demon would "push aside" the person and take over - still using the person's personality in some cases.

I don't know a thing about angels, demons or god for that matter.. I haven't experienced anything that has made me a firm believer in these things; however i can tell you for a fact that the soul does go on after death, because my deceased mother did in fact visit me two months after her passing and tell me that she was ok. She appeared in a ball of light, an orb, a ball of energy, and spoke to me telepathically, and said "Hi honey, I'm alright " and then her face faded and another woman's face appeared for just a split second before the whole orb diapppeared all together. Now, I have never had an unusual experience before this or since, but I know that this was real. So there you have it, we exist after life in a ball of energy, and travel together somehow, and can reach our loved ones telepathically. This I do know for sure...

Demons and angels can possess a person, however, angels do not as this is against their nature and God's laws. Demons can and will because its against God's law and in their nature to.
The person needs to be a willing host or one who has opened themselves to the demonic often enough to make such inhabitance possible.
Angels are God's messengers and, at times, enforcers of God's word and God's peoples commands to the demonic. A christian cannot be possessed because God lives in them and where God is no demon can be. A christian can be oppressed.

Wrong, it isn't a limit of one soul per body. One human soul, yes, but angels and demons aren't human. The human soul is still there. Angels and demons would be like virii and bacterium are to the body: they would invade the soul and make it ill.

Your soul is in your body until you pass away. Yes - one soul per body. People can see through your words and actions as to where you might be within the world. Beyond that - it's between you and God.
There are many many people who have been close to death who will tell you they were in Jesus arms but he wasn't quite ready to have them join him just yet - they have more work on earth to do.
