fake is fake

It might make it seem unfake. Kind of like when a doctor knows you don't really NEED medication but humors you by prescribing a sugar pill, and suddenly you feel completely well because you BELIEVE it was a real drug.

No because truth is absolute. We know that 2 + 2 = 4, but what if everyone wanted it to be 5, could it? I mean what if we all really really really wanted it to be 5 would it? If I step out into a busy intersection and STRONGLY BELIEVED that there was no such thing as a truck would that make it go away and keep me from getting hit? I mean I really BELIEVE it doesn't exist. Yet people do it everyday...now seeing some of your other posts it would be my assumption, and we know what happens when we assume, but it would be a safe assumption in this case that you might be eluding to your belief or lack thereof in Christianity, God, Jesus, etc. Am I correct?

Interesting question. I once met Marjoe Gortner when he was speaking at my university. He was one of the all time great fake faith healers. His autobiography describes how when he was little his mother forced him to memorize scripture and sermons and say that God appeared to him in dreams and told him what to say. He performed bogus healings from the time he was about five years old and he was as surprised as anybody when people were actually healed. When I met him he was grown up and was devoting his time to exposing charlatan preachers and faith healers. But he couldn't explain why even though he knew he had been a charlatan his being a charlatan didn't stop people from being healed. As I recall he said something like, maybe their faith healed them or maybe God can work through a fake preacher if he wants to. You should check out Marjoe's autobiography. There's a movie about him too. I think they're both titled Marjoe.

It would be unfake to the person who truly believed. Example: established religions.

How could you prove something is fake though, to a person who would give their life for what they believe in?
Just because you, or a group of people, think or believe it is fake does not necessarily mean it is...the other way around also.
No one can physically prove a belief, beliefs are founded upon faith and evidence that is only evidence specific to that person.

the unfake is unfakeable. whatever is true remains true for eternity and whatever is fake remains fake for eternity as well. these are two paths that cannot cross each other.

No, just like if something is REAL strong disbelief won't make it UNREAL. Like people don't believe in God and think just because they don't believe in him that they cannot go to Heaven or Hell. Just because you don't believe don't make it untrue. Those are the only two options. Choose wisely, Choose God.
