I am working in Dubai and he is studying at 9th standard in India.

I'm only a stupid American and haven't a clue how to advise a boy about his "9th standard in India." Is that like a high school freshman?

India is still a poor country. He could take one look at the impoverished there and think, if I don't study well, then my father may stop sending money and I'll be one of those people.
