I personally enjoy sick humor but it seems that people get offended like about the numerous Steve Irwin (Croc Hunter) jokes that some are making. I've seen jokes on here posted about Princess Diana as well and people take offense. I enjoy the comedy of Ricky Smiley from BET's ComicView. He is known for his sick humor types of jokes about death, church, funerals, old ladies and making prank phone calls. Why does it only seem okay to poke fun at people when they are alive but when they die, it's totally wrong?

Sick humor is always appropriate, it's the best way of dealing with life's miseries.
You invariably find those small minded people who are easily offended, by tasteless jokes. Tend to be the same folks who either make life miserable for everyone else by always trying to impose their views on anyone else, or they end up rocking back and forth, in a padded cell.
Because when life crapped on them they didn't have the means to cope with it in good humor.
Personally i think the fact Steve Erwin died not in the jaws of a raging croc, but being killed by something as daft as a fish
immensely ironic.
Whoever said god doesn't have a sense of humor.

I don't currently support jokes about Steve Irwin, as it's too soon. Give it a week or so.

"Sick" or taboo subjects should always be acceptable for humor. No one should be ashamed of laughing at anything.

We all handle tragedy in different ways, but when you constantly find glee in someone elses sorrows it's sick - time to do an internal check! God bless!
