Most playdough is non toxic. It probably wouldn't hurt, but I would not just let a kid eat it!

Most Play-Dough is non toxic just look on the can. If a child has eaten a lot of it you need to call the pediatrician or poison control. It might give a little stomach ache but should be okay. If you get too concerned just call the hopital, doctors, or poison control and they can let you know more and what to do and look for.

Well the stuff that you make isn't terrible for you but it isn't all that healthy so I wouldn't recomend it. Most playdough is non toxic just incase little kids eat it... but it isn't the best thing for you.

Don't know about the stuff you buy from shops, but in my nursery class they used to give us play dough they made themselves from flour, salt and colouring or something. It could be re-used if kept in plastic bags.
I used to roll it all over the dirty table, drop it on the floor, pass it to the other kids, mix it all up and eat bits of it!
I think I must have liked the salty taste.
I'm still here so it doesn't seem to have done me too much harm.
If you've brought it from a shop it shouldn't be toxic, otherwise they wouldn't allow it.

Well being that it's a toy, they make it as harmless as possible (non-toxic), so if it's ingested it's not going to do a whole lot, but it certainly can't be good for you. It's probably bacteria laden, and I'm sure it's a perfect little petri dish for that stuff to thrive on--that's probably the worst of it.

If it's name brand it should say if it's non toxic and if it's homemade there's probably not much to worry about. If you're talking about just a taste test, I wouldn't think eating a large amount would be good for anyone.

If it is homemade, there is no problem... the ingredients are only flour, salt, oil, and cream of tartar. The Play-Doh brand is non-toxic, although I wouldn't recommend eating large quantities.

Only if you're allergic to wheat products. (It mostly contains water, salt and flour).
The play-doh website says that playdoh is "non-toxic, non-irritating & non-allergenic except as noted: Children who are allergic to wheat gluten may have an allergic reaction to this product."
I hope this helps!

It's non-toxic, so it doesn't do serious harm if a little is eaten. I would call poison control anyway if a large amount was consumed.
