We cannot fight temptation for temptation is not a thing to fight against in life. The word temptation is derived from the Greek word crisis, which means to have a choice. There is nothing sinful with having a choice put before you and that is what temptations are. You are tempted to choose a good or an evil. Or you are tempted to choose a lesser good or greater good. And so, you do not fight temptation for they are with you all your life while on earth.
However, to get through temptation is to always choose what is true, good, right, and virtuous.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

God Bless you and keep you. May I start by telling you that everyone goes through these issues, and that question is one that very often asked. To best answer this question I will bring forward 2 scriptures that might help then give you my answer. the first one is: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. This is essencially speaking to the truth that our Lord will never leave you nor forsake you and that he would never harm you just grow you in him so that he can be glorified through your victory over the adversary by the power given to us by Jesus of Nazareth. The second scripture is from: James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Understand that the Our Lord and Savior is a God who always has our best intrest in mind. In this scripture it points out How blessed we are if we endure. I will tell you that holding on to scriptures such as these has kept me from falling from the Grace of God. That and the understanding that if I love Him I will keep His comandments. So to show my love and devotion to my Lord I show Him by being faithfull to His word and holding on to His promises. I hope that it this answeres all your questions. May the Grace and Peace of the Lord be with you always.

make the temptation hard to get...lets say porn for example. Have somebody make a site blocker that comes with windows and have them put a password on it. Dont walk into an adult shop. Keep telling yourself that you dont need whats tempting you. Pray and keep in constant fellowship with stonger people that have dealt with what you are dealing with. Don't lock things inside. If you have a problem, talk about it.

If it is a temptation that you really do want or need to avoid, laugh at the thought of it. Laughter can be a very powerful remedy for many things.

Pray to our Grand Instructor, Yahweh God. Ask Him to lead you not into temptation, in other words, ask for His strength to help keep you from the temptation acts.
also, pray for self-control.

Let go and Let God. Give the temptation to Him. Ask Him take it from you and bind it. He will.
