He may not be ready yet. Give him a couple weeks off, then try to prep him by reading him potty stories and encourage him about being a "big boy". Reintroduce him to the potty in a month or two and see if he's ready. He obviously doesnt like being wet, so that's an indication he's beginning to get ready. Good luck.

Is there a dad in the picture. If so then your son needs to watch him and go in there with him a lot to see how boys do it. Let him go at his on pace and it will come. My little girl is 3 1/2 and we just finished potty training with her. It was very difficult and she got very stubborn but now she has it and hasn't had a accident in almost 2 weeks.

My husband took over this process, and I am impressed with the results... We kept our son in a diaper until we were ready for the full transition, but before then we started the reward system. We went to a toy store and bought a ton of cheap prizes (matchbox cars, art supplies, dinosaurs, tools, etc). We put the prizes in a bucket in every bathroom - If there were multiple prizes in a package, we opened the package and dumped it in the bucket. Every time our child went potty we gave him a "pee pee prize". Pooping was harder. We had to get one or two bigger prizes to get him started. He would sit on the potty and repeat "I want a Poopy prize" over and over again until finally he pooped! Once we were on a roll, we went cold turkey on a vacation in underwear. He has only had 3 accidents in a month! Yahoo!!!

Get the book and video for "Once upon a Potty". THAT WILL WORK! I used it on my niece after her parents spent weeks trying to get her to go (with no luck). I babysat her so much and I just got sick of changing her diaper so I took her to the library and found this book. In a week she was using the bathroom (but still wore pull ups at night). It is a great set. I do home daycare now and I just ordered it to use on the kids in daycare. You can get it on e-bay for cheep. Good luck!

Never push him in to potty training he will go when he is ready, you should try letting him run around in the nude, some times that may help, that helped me with my little boy

I think you are right about just letting him go at his pace. he will catch on. it's not something you want to rush. at his own time he will start to be interested in the training pants. or maybe if he sees other children using them.

Don't push it...try a reward system when he goes...I give my son 1/2 a gummy worm when he pees..he's almost 2, and he has been showing interest, and even has dry diapers in teh day time...you need to wait until they show interest.

Maybe you could offer an incentive if he uses the potty. You didn't say how old he is, but he will use it when he is ready.
