It's not a problem, it's natural. Everyone (you too!) sweats all day all night. The skin is a huge organ that helps to regulate fluid balance in the body by sweating. We lose a great deal through our scalp because our body knows it's got to keep our brains from getting too hot or cold.
During the night all bundled up in bed clothes and sheets means it's harder for perspiration to evaporate than during the day. The hair acts as a kind of blanket too with the same result.
Do you smell fresh as a daisy when you wake? A quick dip, a cat's lick or as my mum used to say, face, feet, fanny and everything sweet again. Seriously, don't worry,

like you, i too have a child that has the same problem. Mine is like because she sweats a lot when she sleeps. I ended up just making her take her baths in the am.
